Stone carved teapots are widely used

The author carved this teapot with a new idea. Although the pot body was not round and uneven, the copper tin, gold ingots, and pearls were all carved out of date and dilapidated. Some copper tin had been broken and deformed. It shows that the copper tin on the stone pot is simple, lifelike, discerning and beautiful.

Wang Jingen, a native of Xinbei Village, Shuyuan Town, was born in 1937. At the age of 20, he studied Wood Carving from his father-in-law and changed to stone carving in the 1980s. Anyone who has seen his works is amazed by his exquisite knife technique and lifelike artistic modeling. Professor Zeng Zhushao, an authority on sculpture in China, read his works and said: "The kung fu is very solid, the sabre technique is light and slow, and it is easy to stumble, straightforward and natural, and can see danger in the ordinary, and skillful in the clumsiness". In his nearly 50 years of carving career, his reputation has risen rapidly and he has made great achievements. Stone Carving enthusiasts, literati, celebrities, scholars and international friends have come to watch and buy. His works are exported to dozens of countries, such as Japan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Canada, Italy, etc. The stone carving "Crab Basket" won the gold medal of the "First Chinese Folk Art Exhibition"; The stone carving "Eight Games Holy Pot" was collected by the Organizing Committee of the Eighth National Games in October 1997; The stone carving "Underwater Dragon Palace" was collected by the General Office of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the Administration of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing in October 1998 in the Great Hall Exhibition Hall. The "deep love between mother and son" created for the return of Hong Kong and the "Great Wall of Lotus Pond Carp" created for the return of Macao have been collected by relevant departments. In February 1996, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and China Folk Artists Association jointly awarded Wang Jingen the title of "first-class Chinese folk craftsman".
