Professor Zeng Zhushao, an authority on sculpture in China, read his works and said: "The kung fu is very solid, the sabre technique is light and slow, and it is easy to stumble, straightforward and natural, and can see danger in the ordinary, and skillful in the clumsiness". In his nearly 50 years of carving career, his reputation has risen rapidly and he has made great achievements.
