Wang Jingen, a native of Xinbei Village, Shuyuan Town, was born in 1937. At the age of 20, he studied Wood Carving from his father-in-law and changed to Stone Carving in the 1980s. Professor Zeng Zhushao, an authority on sculpture in China, read his works and said: "The kung fu is very solid, the sabre technique is light and slow, and it is easy to stumble, straightforward and natural, and can see danger in the ordinary, and skillful in the clumsiness".
